Archery Tag Guide
Combat Archery Tag is the dream of every gamer where they can shoot arrows on their opponents like the archers seen in video games. In addition, archery tag is also every geeks’ dream of eliminating their opponents like Katniss Everdeen or Robin Hood.
Combat Archery Tag is a safe and painless activity that utilizes archery with special foam-tipped arrows. It is suitable for both indoors and outdoors. Archery Tag is a thrilling, fast-paced game that is designed to get your adrenaline pumping and heart-rate racing! It also includes different elements such as dodgeball, paintball, and archery.
There’s nothing more satisfying than shooting a bow and drilling a bull’s eye, or simply executing a good shot and watching your arrow hitting your opponent.
However, some people do find this game challenging. In order to help them, we’ve compiled an archery tag guide that is made of 6 ways to win at Combat Archery Tag!
1) Positioning
Archery Tag Guide 1:
First and foremost, it is important to ensure that your bow and arrow are positioned correctly. Many players find it difficult to balance their arrows when they try to nock their bows. As a result, this affects the way they shoot their arrows.
Instead, you should tilt the bow slightly at an angle to the right. This would enable the arrow the rest on the bow. This strategy provides a better balance and enables you to aim and shoot better.
2) Posture
Archery Tag Guide 2:
One of the most important Combat Archery techniques is the correct shooting posture. Having a correct posture helps your body to work coordinate with your bow, improving your accuracy during shooting.
Torso: Should be straight up, with the collar bone parallel to the arrow. Do not bend your hips forward or backward, into or away from the bow; the same applies to your torso.
Head: Should be held straight up with your chin level to the ground. In this position, turn your face down; your head is now in the correct position.
Shoulders: The shoulder of your release arm should naturally fall into position when your lower arm and elbow are properly placed while the shoulder of your bow’s arm should be in a natural position.
Elbow and Lower Arm: The elbow of your release arm should be pointed away from your target, with the forearm parallel to the floor. On the other hand, the elbow of your bow arm should be pointed at an outwards and slightly downward angle, away from the bow.
The elbow of the bow’s arm will have a slight bend at the correct position. Likewise, the bow hand will also position itself properly when the bow arm’s elbow is positioned correctly; the thumb will be at a roughly 45-degree angle.
3) Masks
Archery Tag Guide 3:
Even though archery tag is a very safe game, it is always crucial to ensure that you are wearing the masks provided at all times just in case something goes wrong during the game.
After you wear the mask, you can focus on the game and move around the battlefield without having to worry about getting shot in the face.
4) Holding a Draw
Archery Tag Guide 4:
Many players tend to forget that Combat Archery Tag uses traditional bows. This is different from the modern compound bows that use a gear and pulley system, designed to hold the weight for the user at full draw.
With traditional bows, you are holding all the weight of the bow by yourself. Thus, you may get tired easily after drawing the bow for too long and this will affect your accuracy. Hence, one should not draw their bow until they are ready to shoot and hit at their target.
5) Hiding
Archery Tag Guide 5:
While hiding behind the bunkers would help you avoid not getting shot, it is a double-edged sword. This is because doing so will not get you anywhere and you’ll be stuck at the same position throughout the entire game until you are eliminated.
It is recommended to run out of your hiding spot and try to take down your opponents instead of just hiding behind the bunkers for the entire game. This is because your opponents would probably do the same thing too, so you should take the initiative and eliminate them first!
6) Aiming
Archery Tag Guide 6:
When aiming, do make sure to position your anchor point in a way where your arrow is pointed at your target. Title your arrow slightly upwards; this would give it some length to fly and thus hitting your target.
Combat Archery Tag is an amazing way to have fun with your team. At the same time, it improves your coordination, stamina, strategy, communications, and team bonding.
